January is set aside to recognize the Sanctity of Human Life in churches throughout our country. Pastors, small group leaders, youth pastors, and ministers take a minute to publicly declare that abortion is the act of taking a life that God has created for His purposes. God does not approve of abortion.
Remind your congregation that the state of pregnancy is NOT a sin. Encourage your congregation to approach women facing an unintended pregnancy with friendship and grace. No judgment, just love and support.
If the church remains silent, people will look for other sources to determine their beliefs. As believers, we need to form our beliefs and opinions around the word of God.
