An Interior Designer’s Mission to Bring Peace to New Moms and Babies
From the moment a frightened young mother steps inside The Elizabeth House in Marshall, the new maternity home will wrap her in peace. Every single corner of the house reflects a deep desire to make mothers feel truly at home.
For years, Laurie Ann Mosher and her husband, Mark, have championed Care Net’s mission to help women who find themselves facing unintended pregnancies. But the moment Laurie heard about the Marshall house at an annual banquet, her heart stirred with an ache she couldn’t ignore. She knew she had to volunteer her time and talents to bring this haven to life.

“I really wanted to provide a blank canvas for God’s work — an inviting and warm home where each woman would feel like she belongs from the moment she walks in the door,” said Laurie Ann, owner of Interiors Redeemed, LLC.
But launching the project presented some unique hurdles. As she envisioned a fully operational home designed to save and transform lives, she also carried the weight of budget limitations.
“Design for The Elizabeth House was not a showplace or a vanity project. Each dollar spent had to provide beauty and function on a strict budget,” Laurie Ann said.
In the quiet, overwhelming moments of exhaustion, she was never alone. “I know Jesus was with me in every moment of planning and working and in moments of frustration,” she said.
Every detail holds a piece of Laurie Ann’s heart. In the living room, the open shelving stands as a literal labor of love — designed by Laurie Ann and installed by her husband’s hands.
In the playroom, a vibrant sanctuary awaits babies and toddlers.
“I am pleased with how The Joyful Jungle mural in the playroom turned out,” Laurie Ann said. “Our wonderful Director Sara had a real desire for that, and she trusted me to make it a reality.”
Laurie Ann’s ultimate dream for this house is that one day, the walls will be completely covered with framed photos of precious babies saved by the courageous women who will choose life for them.
“This home is a beacon of hope in a sometimes scary and lonely world,” said Laurie Ann.
Laurie Ann’s interior designs will provide a soothing home for new mothers and babies.
