The Power of an Answered Prayer
“In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.”- Psalm 5:3
Have you ever made a prayer request and received an answer the same day?

Taylor, our volunteer nurse, really hoped she could share the gospel with Jasmine, but unfortunately, it just did not seem to work out. Taylor prayed God would bring Jasmine back to the clinic. Taylor wanted to have the opportunity to minister to Jasmine’s whole self—not just take care of her medical needs.
The following week, Taylor prayed a very particular prayer. “Lord, allow me to share the gospel with someone today.”
Imagine Taylor’s surprise when she saw Jasmine was on her schedule for test results! Taylor’s prayer was answered! Not only was she able to meet her medical needs by providing her test results, but she had an opportunity to share the Gospel of Jesus. Jasmine was receptive, encouraged, and grateful to Taylor for the words she shared.
We do not always understand why the Lord allows certain things to happen or understand His ways and timing. But on this particular day, Taylor’s request to be a vehicle to share the gospel was answered, and she was given the opportunity to minister to a patient to whom she had hoped to reach.
Moments like these humble and encourage us. The Lord is always working for the good of those who love Him and in ways that are more perfect than we could fathom. Our prayers do not fall on deaf ears; they are heard and answered in His timing.
